Porsche 962 Go Karts For Sale

These are very rare Porsche 962 mini cars/go karts from the 1980s.  They were manufactured by Action Industries Inc. in Tempe, Arizona for promotional purposes.  The company went out of business, so information on these is scarce.  Some info suggests the 962 mini cars were showcased at top-performing tire retailers to market BFGoodrich tires and used as promotional items for one of the annual Porsche Parades in the mid-80s.

Most of these 962 mini cars came with the renowned Jim Busby BFGoodrich livery.  The #68 962 (chassis 105) raced successfully during the 1980’s IMSA series, including third place during it’s debut at the 1985 Sebring 12 Hours and an overall win at the Riverside 600.  These go karts are a great tribute to the 962 and Porsche Racing that will compliment any Porsche collection nicely.

The mini car chassis consist of a steel tube frame that supports a black seat, steering assembly, and two pedals to operating the throttle and brake via cables.  They are powered by a four-stroke, 127cc Briggs & Stratton rated at 3hp at 3,600 rpm mated to a chain-driven, fixed-gear axle.
