On The Fast Naples International Circuit, Tony Kart Takes The Win On the fast Naples International Circuit, Tony Kart hits the win in the second round of the FIA Karting European Championship with Lorenzo Camplese. The weekend of the Tony Kart Racing Team on the International Circuit of Naples, Italy, is constantly at the top for the last and decisive stage of the FIA Karting European Championship KZ and KZ2.
The pair of Tony Kart Racer 401 R - Vortex proves extremely effective from the start and accompanies Lorenzo Camplese, SC Performance driver equipped with OTK material, to win with authority and without giving anything to the opponents in the KZ final. The Italian is also the author of a victory in heats and an exceptional pole position. In addition, he finishes second in the championship and for only one point does not graduate continental champion. The final, on the other hand, is stingy with satisfactions for the drivers of the Tony Kart Racing Team, who had hitherto been the authors of a smooth run and with all the credentials to bring home a prestigious result.
Simo Puhakka is the most competitive of the weekend obtaining a victory and two second places in the heats, a pity that in the final a contact ousted him when he was in the running for the title. Same fate for Matteo Viganò, while Marco Ardigò is stopped by a breakdown when he occupied the third position. Even Noah Milell is plagued by technical problems and fails and expresses himself to the best of his potential. In KZ2 David Vidales is certainly the main protagonist: after fifth place in qualifying, on Saturday the Spaniard is stocking up on success in the heats, conquering all those in which he takes part.
Third place in the heats on Sunday morning ensures that our driver starts from pole position in the final. Here, unfortunately, Vidales leads for most of the race but cannot get the result he deserved by slipping to ninth place at the end of a truly fierce battle. Alessio Piccini also proves to be very combative in every session: the Italian wins a heat and gets other placings, a pity that the position on the grid is compromised by the withdrawal in a heat caused by a contact. Alessio, however, does not lose heart and makes the most of the power of the Vortex engine mounted on the Racer 401 R to reassemble 11 positions and go close to the top ten in the final.
