Check out the infamous Yellow Bird!
It will be built in a limited edition to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first Boxster
Porsche celebrates the 25th birthday of its roadster family with a special model, the Boxster 25 years this limited edition to 1,250 units worldwide and is based on the GTS 4.0 model, powered by a 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with 400 hp. It refers to numerous design features of the Boxster concept car.
A success story of the two-seater discovered at the 1993 Detroit Auto Show. The production version was launched in 1996 with very few changes in its visual appearance and is now in its fourth generation after production of over 357,000 units.
One of the most striking features of the special model is the reinterpretation of the Neodymium color, a brown with iridescent reflections similar to copper, which already in 1993 was an unusual contrast to the Silver GT Metallic base color of the pioneering prototype on show in Detroit. In the special edition it is used for the front under-bumper, the single-blade side air intakes, the lettering and the 20-inch bi-tone alloy wheels. Porsche offers the Boxster 25 Years in GT Silver Metallic, although Jet Black Metallic and Carrara White Metallic are also available. Another striking element can be found on the fuel cap, embellished with the "Porsche" lettering that distinguishes the Exclusive Design range. The lettering is made of aluminum, as are the high-gloss tailpipes of the sports exhaust system, while the edge of the windscreen is finished in contrasting black.
In line with the style of the historic original, the special model combines a burgundy leather interior with a red fabric hood, embossed with the words "Boxster 25". Both are also available in black. Among the elements included in the new model's extensive standard equipment are the aluminum interior package, 14-way electrically adjustable sports seats, door sill profiles with "Boxster 25" lettering and the heated multifunction GT sports steering wheel in leather.
